Rewards & Points Policy

Last updated 04 Oct 2026 Version 2026-10-04 BITZO PVT LTD Indian law · Surat courts

Effective from: 4 October 2026  ·  Version: 2026-10-04

This policy explains how reward points (“Points”) work on the bitzo platform operated by BITZO PVT LTD (the “Company”). It is part of the Terms & Conditions and the Seller Terms.

1. The basic idea

Businesses on the Platform run their own loyalty programmes. When you pay a participating business, the business can create a bill on the Platform. After you claim it, you earn Points with that business, and you can later redeem them for rewards offered by the same business.

2. What Points are (and are not)

  1. Points are a loyalty benefit given by each business. They are not money, not a deposit, not a security, not a prize in a game of chance, and have no cash value.
  2. Points are business-specific: Points earned with one business can be used only with that business. They are not a shared wallet and cannot be combined or converted between businesses.
  3. Points cannot be sold, bought, transferred, gifted, exchanged for cash or pledged. They are not your property and no one acquires any right to them except the limited right to redeem them under this policy.
  4. We (the Company) do not issue the rewards. Each business decides and funds its rewards and is responsible for providing them.

3. Earning Points

  1. After you pay, the business enters your bill amount and generates a bill QR code or a claim link. The number of Points is decided by the business’s earning rules (for example “bills between a minimum and a maximum amount earn a fixed number of Points”).
  2. Scanning the QR code or opening the link only shows the bill. Points are credited only when you log in and press Confirm on the claim page. A bill can be claimed once and by one customer only.
  3. A bill QR is valid for the time the business chose when it created the bill, from 30 minutes up to 30 days. After that it expires and Points cannot be claimed. If your QR has expired, ask the business to create a new one; the Points are always calculated by the business’s rules for the new bill.
  4. If a business made a bill for your mobile number, it can appear under Pending Coupons in your account until you collect it or it expires. A business may also send you the claim link by SMS, WhatsApp or e-mail.
  5. You must be the person who made the purchase. You may not claim a bill for a purchase that was not yours, or that was not genuine.

4. Redeeming Points

  1. You can redeem Points when your balance with that business is at least the number of Points the reward needs, and the reward is active, has not ended and has not reached a limit (for example a daily or total limit) set by the business.
  2. When you request a reward you receive a redemption code / QR, which is valid for a short time (currently 10 minutes). You can have only one pending request for the same reward at a time. You can cancel a pending request.
  3. Show the code to the business. Points are deducted only when the business confirms the redemption in its Seller Panel and gives you the reward. If the code expires, or the business is not able to confirm, no Points are deducted and you can ask again.
  4. Each reward is subject to the terms the business has published for it. Rewards may be of limited quantity and are not exchangeable for cash.

5. Expiry and changes

  1. At the moment Points do not expire automatically. We may introduce an expiry or other change for the future by giving notice on the Platform, and a change does not take away Points that were validly earned before the notice period ends.
  2. Businesses may change their earning rules or rewards for the future. Rewards have start and end dates. A reward may be paused or ended; a pending redemption that is valid must still be honoured.
  3. If a business is removed, suspended or closes, Points with that business may not be redeemable. We will try, but are not obliged, to ask the business to honour valid redemptions.

6. Errors, reversals and fraud

  1. We may reverse, cancel or adjust Points, bills and redemptions that were created by mistake, from a wrong bill amount, in breach of the Terms, by fraud or abuse, or on an order of a court or authority. A reversal appears in your Points history. (A business can also cancel a bill before it is claimed.) If a reversal would make your balance negative, the difference may be set off against Points you earn later with that business.
  2. The following are fraud and abuse and will lead to cancellation of Points, suspension or closure of the account and, where appropriate, a police complaint: fake, duplicated or altered bills or QR codes; collusion between a customer and a business; creating or using several accounts to collect Points; automated claiming or redeeming; sharing or selling QR codes, redemption codes or accounts; and any attempt to bypass a limit.
  3. If you think that Points are wrong or missing, first tell the business, then write to us through the Contact page with the bill or business name. If a business did not credit Points for a bill you paid in cash, you can also use Report this business on its page.

7. Accounts and Points

If your account is suspended or closed because of a breach of the Terms, your Points can be frozen or cancelled. If you close your account on your own, your Points end with it. Points cannot be inherited or transferred to another person.

8. Taxes

Any tax on a reward or benefit you receive from a business is your responsibility or the business’s, as the law provides. We do not give tax advice.
